FIRST'S DRIVE GREEN APPROACH

Overall this allowed First Group to cut 70% of risky manoeuvres in the last year, to just 80 per 10 hours down to an average of 26%, collisions have also dropped by also 6%. What other positive results does this give, well for the passenger a more comfortable journey, injuries on First buses dropped 8%, it also means better fuel economy especially so for a bus, and better fuel economy means lower costs which keeps fares down in total, this also helps First by helpfully cut over 100,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions. As a incentive drivers are rewarded by their highest standards of driving by a pot of over £2 million.
